Blue Monday
Blue Monday - the third Monday of January - is claimed to be the most depressing day of the year on account of being a combination of post-Christmas bills, the abandonment of New Year resolutions, low sunlight levels and cold weather. Djouce Hike
Our first hike of the year will bring us to Djouce Woods. Djouce (725 metres) is situated in the northeastern section of the Wicklow Mountains, a 45 minute drive from Dublin City Centre, and dominates the views of the Wicklow Mountains from Roundwood to Newtownmountkennedy. Due to the January lockdown we are rescheduling this hike from the 2nd January to the 2nd February and now the 2nd of March - pandemic allowing.
